- 2018-19- As a part of the Swach Bharat Summer Internship (SBSI) initiative that was started by the Central Government, the NLIU Cell for Awareness and Research in Environmental Studies (CARES) worked in the nearby village of Mendori, to bring cleanliness and sanitation to the village and awareness on environmental issues and hygienic practices to the residents of the village. The team surveyed the village, conducted a free medical camp, painted walls of the panchayat building with positive environmentally friendly messages, conducted a plantation drive and conducted a cleanliness themed drawing competition at the Shaskiye Primary School, Mendori.
