SHRAM DAAN

• 2015-16-CARES in association with the Pollution Control Board (PCB) and Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) organised a ‘Shram Daan’ (Clean-up Drive + Nukkad Natak) at the Sair Sapata bridge.

SAVE DUMNA CAMPAIGN

• The Cell organized the Save Dumna campaign, which was a targeted campaign that highlighted the environmental concerns related to industrialization of natural land. The campaign was very well received and gained a lot of traction on social media.

NATIONAL SEMINAR

• 2008 – 09– CARES organized a National Seminar on ” 21st Century Challenges” in September 2008. It was a big event conducted by our cell. Interesting Panel discussions including ceative views of the participants on burning environmental issues were the highlights of this event.

SCHOOL CAMPAIGN

• 2008 – 09 – Taking up a zealous and enthusiastic approach towards environmental reforms, CARES conducted a school campaign wherein the school children were educated about the prevailing environmental conditions. This in a way helped in spreading the awareness among the energetic youth of the nation. This program had a great response and CARES was assured of the fact that there are many budding environmental activists in our society.

SLUM DRIVE

• 2008 – 09 – Considering the miserable environmental conditions of slums in Bhopal as major focus, CARES took the initiative to carry out a slum drive. The area in which the drive was conducted is one of the densely populated and poorly plant area of Bhopal. As a post to this drive sizable measures were taken to improve the conditions of the slum in question. This initiative was taken by CARES as a part of the National Environment Awareness Programme, 2008 (NEAP–2008)
